I am really beginning to see progress now and that’s really motivating

Susan Nasstrom
I have always been fascinated by Russia and the Russian language. Back in the 80s, I went on a trip to Russia visiting Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Yalta during the time of perestroika – it was a fascinating trip! I have made a few short attempts before at trying to learn Russian but life always got in the way – finally I had more time Autumn 2019 and I started the Russian alphabet at home using a book. Then in January 2020, I started Irina’s class in Ballsbridge College of Further Education.  I really liked Irina’s teaching style straightaway. Unfortunately the Covid crisis turned up halfway through the course and the rest of the classes were cancelled so I decided to continue with Irina, doing one-to-one on Skype. I absolutely love my Russian class with her and I am really beginning to see progress now and that’s really motivating – but you do need to do lots of home practice!  Irina is a great teacher – interested, experienced, patient and good at explaining grammar and the differences between Russian and English.  My weekly Russian class is now part of my life and I love it. I hope to do a cruise on the river Volga in Russia post Covid so that’s another source of motivation! I’m very happy to recommend anyone who would like to learn Russian to contact Irina.
