Living in Ireland and speaking English daily, I slowly started to forget the Russian language. Since it is one of my native languages, I wanted to maintain it as much as possible. I was looking for a professional teacher to teach the language, and that’s when I came across Irina Lawless from Kalinka. She is extremely patient and knowledgeable, guiding and helping me with my work. Even if Russian is my native language, I still struggle with some basics. Another reason why I chose to relearn Russian was for my Leaving Cert exam. I wanted to widen my vocabulary and start speaking fluently again. With Irina, we do oral practice, written and sometimes even aural, which is of massive help. This gives me a chance to be prepared for what is to come. Being able to do the lessons online once a week gives me so much flexibility to manage my schedule and keep up with the workload. So far, learning with Irina has been amazing, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn or boost their Russian language skills. I look forward to continuing my learning with her.
